Improvement Meme 03-09

Holy snap a meme I finished! I think it's because I didn't have to actually draw anything for it...

...I, uh, am not sure how well this selection shows my improvement, but oh well.

• #1 shows the same character drawn 40 days apart. Top is after mainly TF G1-style practice, bottom is after mainly Armada.

2004: Only 513 scans for this year...
• #1 is my much-neglected Rockman.EXE OC, Drakkonman.EXE. The picture is watercolor markers on archival card, and the lineart was designed with IRL layers. That is, transparent paper. This was homework for my 'art class' (my artly neighbor showing me different techniques and letting me use her supplies).
• #2 is one of my many unused MegaManMUSH OCs, Caliber Doberman. He's ace.

• [link] & [link] just barely didn't make it onto the list, I decided to go with the character-design-ful Caliber and the stylistically different Lion.

2005: 377 scans... it's shrinking rapidly! :[
• #1 is the internet appearance of 2003 #4
• #2 is another split-image, but they're not related to each other.
-- Top-left is Deed. I was starting to draw SD Gundam Force art!
-- Bottom-right is a fanchar for Fantastic Children. It turned out I could kinda emulate the style of the anime, but only if I used markers. It's also for representing my general advancement in drawing heads, faces, and expressions more interesting than 'nonexistant'.
• #3 is part of a tileset I started to make for Jazz Jackrabbit 2. As you can see by the blurred blocks, I meant to blur the set up a bit to fake detail, as it's all pixel art. It looks pretty fugly though, so I've got a better idea, if I can ever get started on it...

2006: only 176 scans this year. D: BUT IT WAS NO EASIER TO CHOOSE GOOD PICTURES, ACK.
• #1 is a bunch of unfinished pixel or tiny drawings: Pteras (Zoids), Deed (SDGF), Fiver (Gundam AoZ), really fuzzy Idef, little markerdoodle, tiny grumpy Rake Rosette (Gundam AoZ/SDGF).

2007: 143 scans this year and the easiest decision-making. This is good, because it's 5AM as I type this.

2008: A mere 79 scans in 2008. what.

2009: An abysmal 26 scans for this year. D; Although to be perfectly fair, I haven't scanned everything I've drawn in 2008-2009... but it's still nowhere near the behemoth folder of 2002 or even 2003.
...On the other hand, it's SUPER easy to decide what to choose.
